Miguel Paredes
MArch, BArchSt UNSW
With over 15 years of experience refining his approach in high-end residential practices, Miguel draws from his many global influences and residencies as an enrichment of his work. With time spend in Latin America and Spain, his approach to the Australian context is grounded in a holistic approach to design that has a consideration beyond just the built elements. He believes in balancing architecture, the environment, and the human experience, creating spaces that feel intrinsically connected to their surroundings.
His design philosophy is grounded in a thoughtful sensibility, prioritising longevity, timelessness, functionality, and responsiveness to both context and people. Having grown up surrounded by the long spans and openness of Modernist architecture, his own approach to design is shaped by crafting connections to light, and between inside and out. In expressing the stories of the people who occupy his spaces, he aims to create enduring, timeless and enriching legacies that both connect to the past, to people and to place.
