Located centrally within Sydney CBD, Lina Residence sits within the Observatory Tower as a reimagining of urban apartment living. The focus was to create a familiar and welcoming family environment that felt elevated and felt spatially generous, with a refined approach to materiality. For a family seeking the benefits of both openness and privacy, the planning reconfigures the kitchen into a versatile space, with operable doors that can both close off and open up to connect to the living area. The internal layout needed to be methodically reworked to simplify the movement and connection between zones as a reflection of the owners. Detailing such as custom brass inlays and material patterns extending through the kitchen and into the principal bathroom, aim to create set an everyday experience that felt luxurious while also optimising on the panoramic harbour views.
